Broadview Developmental Center

It was built in 1939, and was known as the Broadview Veterans Administration Hospital. It was used primarily for the treatment of Tuberculosis, which was a major threat at that time. For the following 20 years it housed sick veterans.

Tuberculosis hospital abandoned

The Lima District Tuberculosis hospital was opened on April 5, 1911. It was one of the earliest hospitals in the state to treat tuberculosis. The hospital launched a 50 year battle against the disease.
